Clete’s inspiration to start Vituro Health spanned from his father’s prostate cancer diagnosis several years ago. While exploring the treatment options available at the time, he sought out potential new modalities. In July 2015, he was introduced to high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU). After conducting thorough research and talking to many HIFU patients and doctors, he realized this treatment, along with a comprehensive personalized plan for every individual, was a necessary process to help men and their families navigate the complicated process of prostate care. Out of this, Vituro Health was created in honor of Clete’s father and all men who have been affected by prostate cancer. Clete and his wife have three sons and reside in Homewood, Ala. In addition to men’s health, his passions include coaching young athletes and working with his church’s youth program. He has led many community athletic programs throughout the last 15 years and considers himself a coach at heart. Most of the children in the community affectionately refer to him as “Coach,” a title he holds dear because of his love of teaching kids the life lessons that sports have to offer. From good sportsmanship, winning with dignity and even how to lose, he considers his role as “Coach” a very rewarding experience and time he would not trade for anything. Additionally, Clete is an avid golfer and he enjoys playing in an adult men’s baseball league. He puts forth the same energy and tenacity in competition as he does in building a successful organization. Clete has more than 25 years of experience in operating, growing and investing in successful businesses. His background has spanned many industries, including: software / technology, manufacturing, healthcare and innovative agriculture strategies. He is an alumnus of Birmingham Southern College.
