Gerald Grubbs, M.D.

Vituro Health board member

A native Tennessean, Dr. Gerald E. Grubbs attended both undergraduate college and medical school in his home state before going on to complete his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Tennessee.

In 1993, after completing his fellowship, Dr. Grubbs received his Board Certification in Interventional Radiology from the American Board of Radiology. The following year, he moved to the Florida Suncoast and joined Naples Radiologists, P.A., where he specialized in Diagnostic, Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology.

In 2006, Dr. Grubbs established his own practice, Sarasota Interventional Radiology (SIR). As a pioneer and one of the first Interventional Radiologists to introduce and perform some of today’s most sophisticated minimally invasive procedures, Dr. Grubbs and SIR proudly offer today’s most cutting-edge treatments and procedures for conditions that once required open surgery. These procedures offer patients fewer risks and complications, less pain, and shorter recovery time than traditional surgical procedures.

While specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions like osteoporosis, herniated discs, tennis elbow, migraine headaches, uterine fibroids, cancer, and liver disease, Dr. Grubbs performs numerous diagnostic and interventional procedures, pain management, regenerative therapies, vascular procedures, and more.

Since its inception, SIR has built a reputation on delivering optimal patient care and treating patients as family. Dr. Grubbs advocates spending quality time getting to know each patient before every procedure. He reviews every condition and answers every question so that the patient has knowledge and full understanding of exactly what to expect. Also, SIR’s dedicated, friendly, and professional staff take pride in providing a warm and comfortable environment before, during, and after every procedure.

SIR’s state-of-the-art facility brings first-class service and care to the community. Procedures are performed in an operating room environment that is equipped with advanced imaging technology to perform a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Staffed with board-certified anesthesiologists, SIR offers patients safe and comfortable sedation at only a fraction of the cost of traditional hospitals and other outpatient ambulatory facilities.

The author of numerous articles and a noted lecturer, Dr. Grubbs lives with his wife and two children in Osprey, FL.
